Vegan & Gluten-Free Restaurants in Osaka: From Plant-Based Kushikatsu to Rice-Flour Okonomiyaki
Six Osaka places for vegan and gluten-free food, from plant-based kushikatsu to rice-flour okonomiyaki, with dedicated gluten-free kitchens marked separately.

How to read the gluten-free labels
Japan Food Pass uses two levels for gluten-free.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Dedicated | The restaurant officially states it uses a dedicated kitchen or facility |
| GF options | There are dishes made without wheat, but no dedicated-kitchen statement |
If even small amounts of wheat are a problem for you, always ask about kitchen practices at places not marked "dedicated".Official sites rarely say whether frying oil or prep surfaces are shared with wheat dishes.
