Vegan & Vegetarian Food Events, Autumn-Winter 2026: Two in Tokyo, and How to Check

How we chose these events

Japan Food Pass lists an event only when the organizer's official website or official social media account shows the 2026-2027 date and venue. We leave out events that appear only on listing sites or blogs, and events whose dates have not been announced.

Tokyo Vegan Gourmet Festival 2026 Autumn

Run by the Japan Plant Based Market Association, which describes it on its official site as one of Japan's largest festivals dedicated to plant-based food.

The official schedule says there will be no autumn edition in Kyoto this year, with a Kyoto edition planned for spring 2027. The spring date has not been announced yet.

Asian Vegan Connect 2026

An international event on vegan food and culture in Asia, organized by the same Japan Plant Based Market Association.

According to the official page, the "Asia Vegan Market 2026" will have vegan booths from Taiwan, Korea, China/Hong Kong, Malaysia and other places. There will also be "Vegan Beauty Selection," with cosmetics, fashion and sweets on display and for sale, plus an awards event and networking. It is not a food-only event. The party fee is not yet listed on the announcement page.

Events outside the three cities

These are away from Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, but we confirmed their dates on official pages. Both are in Nagoya.

• Nagoya Vegan Gourmet Festival 2026 Autumn: Sunday, October 11, 2026, 10:30-16:00, Tsuruma Park (Showa-ku, Nagoya), free entry. Official schedule
• Beyond Gluten-Free Festival: Sunday, November 1, 2026, 11:00-16:00, Hisaya-odori Park (Sakae, Nagoya), free entry. The official site says wheat, barley, rye and oats are not used anywhere in the venue. Official site

About halal events

We could not find official announcements of public halal food events in Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka for autumn and winter 2026.

How to check event information yourself

• Open the organizer's official website or official social media account. Listing sites sometimes still show last year's details.
• Check that the year and the day of the week match. If the weekday is off, the information may be old.
• Note the venue, hours, entry fee and bad-weather cancellation rules.
• Some events have very similar names, and some announcements are for events that do not exist. Search for the organizer's name to confirm.
